We are now open for our 2026 season until the 31st of October 2026.

We are open daily in the Grounds, Playgrounds and Lakeside walk, 10 am to 4.30 pm.

The House will open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (also Sundays in August), 1.30 pm till 4.30 pm (last entries 4 pm), until the end of the season.

Tickets to be bought at The Old Sawmill Tearoom in Dodd Wood car park. No advance booking needed. Parking and toilets for Mirehouse & Gardens are at Dodd Wood Pay on Exit car park opposite the main entrance.

Details of disability access to Mirehouse and its gardens are available upon request at the tearoom.  The house is fully accessible for wheelchairs and disabled access parking is available in front of the house.

The grounds at Mirehouse are certainly dog friendly.  Dogs are welcome in the grounds (though not in the playgrounds) on a short lead at all times.  As the walks pass through farmland, please give farm animals plenty of space to not feel intimidated.  Please see the Countryside Code for more information.
