Opening Dates & Times

We are now open for our 2026 season until the 31st of October 2026.

We will open daily in the Grounds, Playgrounds and Lakeside walk 10am to 4.30pm.

The House will open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (also Sundays in August) 1.30pm till 4.30pm, with last entries at 4pm, until the end of the season.

Please purchase tickets at The Old Sawmill Tearoom across the road. Parking and toilets for Mirehouse and Gardens are at Dodd Wood Pay on Exit car park across the road from our entrance.

The grounds at Mirehouse are certainly dog friendly. Dogs are welcome in the grounds (though not in the playgrounds) on a short lead at all times. As the walks pass through farmland, please give farm animals plenty of space to not feel intimidated. Please see the Countryside Code for more information.
